Mike Blackman is a Kansas City native who loves his city, the only place he has called home. He developed and successfully operates Five Star Home Inspections since 2003 following the same principles with every home inspection: Professional, Reliable, Thorough, Informative, and Conscientious. Mike only hires employees who demonstrate the same principles and dedication. He loves his job and serving clients to the best of his ability, ensuring they are properly informed on the purchase of their new home.
Mike is a family man with a wonderful wife and two amazing children. In Mike’s free time, he enjoys the outdoors, being with his family and friends, and he enjoys traveling somewhere new every year.

Doug Baker grew up in South Carolina, graduated from the United States Military Academy, and earned a master’s degree from Louisiana State University. In the course of 20+ years of active duty military service, he purchased and sold numerous homes across the country and, in that process, gained a tremendous understanding of and appreciation for quality home inspections.
Serving the final years of his military career as an instructor at Fort Leavenworth’s U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Doug fell in love with the area and currently resides on his 40 acre farm in nearby Leavenworth, Kansas. He is the father of two beautiful daughters, and in his free time, enjoys hunting and fishing. Doug is a graduate of the Midwest Inspectors Institute and has successfully completed the National Home Inspector Examination.
